- Analyze key components of a comprehensive review of systems, including diagnosis and rationale for treatment.
- Apply treatment modalities and nursing interventions to include outcomes and evaluation criteria of common disorders of each body system.
- Interpret commonly ordered labs.
- Contrast the difference between hypovolemic and septic shock in both assessment and treatment priorities.
- Distinguish underlying etiologies of disruptions in physiologic homeostasis.
- Compare the needs of special patient populations during acute illness.
- List examples of the most common medications ordered by disease process.
- Explore staffing patterns related to patient acuity levels.
- Identify legal and ethical implications of professional nursing issues and concerns.
- Discuss effective test-taking strategies
