Full Course Description

Module 1: Essentials for Edema Reduction

Working in the clinic is BUSY! You need solutions that are both time and cost effective.

And that is exactly what manual lymph drainage (MLD) brings to the table.  Offering a wide array of conditions that can be treated: pre and post-op, edema, joint replacement, c-sections, lipedema and lymphedema, just to name a few.  MLD is sure to be a part of the solution for many of your clients.

Bringing over 20 years of experience to the table, Elisa DiFalco, MS, OT, CMLDT, LMT will provide you with the tools you need to:

  • Develop a MLD protocol that easily fits into your treatment session
  • Quickly assess and identify the problem
  • Identify the 3 early warning signs of a lymphatic infection
  • Improve lymph viscosity for accelerated outcomes

Whether a new therapist or seasoned practitioner, this must have seminar will provide valuable insight for incorporating MLD in the clinical setting. You’ll walk away with strategies that you can implement immediately!

Module 2: Pre & Post-Op – Joint Replacement, C-section, Sports Injuries, Bariatric Surgery, Breast Cancer Reconstruction, Cellulite, Plastic Surgery

Many surgeons are now recommending manual lymph drainage (MLD) for their patients due to its ability to accelerate healing. From joint replacement to plastic surgery, MLD is the “must-have” modality when treating: edema, bruising, pain and scar management.

Practitioners will learn the delicate balance of healthy lymphocyte production and eradication of toxins responsible for post-op edema and bruising. Therapists will also learn factors that increase scar tissue formation and adhesions and how to minimize them through gentle strokes of MLD applied with this time-tested protocol.

The full-body demo in this course utilizes strokes refined and researched for a century and is painless to the patient and not physically demanding on the practitioner. The conservative strokes are designed to reduce inflammation, bruising, scarring and pain for an accelerated outcome supported by research.

And, you will see a live patient with before and after outcomes!
