Module 1: Spanish for Healthcare Providers (Lessons 1 - 4)

Objectives

Explain common greetings in Spanish
List components of language and strategies to learn a foreign language
Define and pronounce common Spanish cognates
Pronounce the Spanish alphabet
Identify general cultural, physical and language considerations for Spanish-speaking patients
Pronounce numbers for time, measurements and money.
Explain the concept of gender for nouns.
Practice Spanish vocabulary for food & clothing.
Identify and pronounce patient admitting questions.
