Module 1: Spanish for Healthcare Providers (Lessons 1 - 4)

Objectives

  • Explain common greetings in Spanish
  • List components of language and strategies to learn a foreign language
  • Define and pronounce common Spanish cognates
  • Pronounce the Spanish alphabet
  • Identify general cultural, physical and language considerations for Spanish-speaking patients
  • Pronounce numbers for time, measurements and money.
  • Explain the concept of gender for nouns.
  • Practice Spanish vocabulary for food & clothing.
  • Identify and pronounce patient admitting questions.
