3-Day: Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Training: Become a Provider of Safe and Legal Psychedelic Therapy for Treatment Resistant PTSD, Anxiety and Depression

Program Information

Objectives

  1. Describe research into synergistic actions between ketamine and psychotherapy to prolong clinically significant reductions in anxiety, trauma and depressive symptoms.
  2. Investigate the outcomes of current clinical trials for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy effectiveness.
  3. Describe medical and mental health contraindications to KAP and possible side effects.
  4. Determine how various routes of ketamine administration and dosing options impact bioavailability and resulting treatment.
  5. Conceptualize the patient screening and intake process for KAP.
  6. Analyze critical liability, off-label use and scope of practice issues to ensure safe, ethical and legal KAP.
  7. Utilize appropriate informed consent and safety protocols in KAP.
  8. Build a KAP practice that properly accounts for important aspects of documentation, scheduling and billing.
  9. Develop a treatment plan that establishes feelings of safety and trust during the different stages of KAP to enhance level of therapeutic engagement.
  10. Apply strategies to better support people in altered states and encourage transformative experiences during those states.
  11. Investigate potential benefits of therapeutic touch during the KAP process and explore consent and implementation issues.
  12. Develop a plan to intervene when challenging emotional and spiritual experiences arise during a ketamine session
