Erin Amato, MD, is a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with Montana Psychiatry & Brain Center in Billings, Montana. She is also a fellow of anti-aging, metabolic and functional medicine through the Metabolic Medical Institute of A4M, and a fellow of the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She is passionate about finding cutting-edge, innovative ways to prevent and treat mental health disorders that have not responded to traditional interventions. She is on the board of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners and has overseen the administration of thousands of IV ketamine and esketamine treatments since 2014. She received training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other non-invasive brain modulation techniques at the Brain Stimulation Laboratory of Medical University of South Carolina and has been performing TMS for the treatment of depression since 2015. She completed training with the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute for ketamine and psychedelic therapy in 2020. She is an integrative psychiatrist who looks to blend traditional treatment tools, like medication and talk therapy, with functional medicine testing, nutritional supplementation, and lifestyle education to design personalized treatment approaches that target the root causes of illness.
