In children with kidney diseases, an assessment of the child’s growth and nutritional status is important to guide their dietary recommendations, with a series of indices and tools required for evaluation. In this session, Linda Gavrielov, MS, RND, LD, CCTD, will review the nutritional management of children with kidney diseases, including nutritional assessment and management goals, with an emphasis on improving care of children with chronic and acute kidney injury and post-transplant.
Linda Gavrielov, MS, RDN, LD, CCTD, is a registered dietitian and an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer. Linda has been a dietician since 2009. Her passion for working with kidney transplant recipients began in 2011 when she worked for a kidney transplant center in NYC. Since 2017, her focus has been to provide nutritional care to pediatric patients with kidney and heart disease. She is currently the pediatric renal transplant and pediatric heart failure dietician at a hospital in central Florida.
