Karen Lea Hyche, OTD, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience. She completed her doctorate in occupational therapy at Belmont University. She specializes in sensory processing disorders, autism and learning disabilities.
Dr. Hyche is the owner of Hyche Center for Sensory & Motor Learning, in Jasper, Alabama, a comprehensive pediatric therapy clinic. The clinic provides occupational, speech and physical therapy services as well as counseling services for children birth through young adults.
Dr. Hyche has provided service in a variety of settings. She has worked in the public school system as well as Early Intervention Part C services. She has worked in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care for children. She has served as an adjunct instructor and fieldwork instructor for occupational therapy programs in the state of Alabama. Dr. Hyche is the co-author of the book entitled, Classroom Strategies for Children with ADHD, Autism & Sensory Processing Disorders (PESI, 2014).
