John Pagano, Ph.D., OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience in treating children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental, severe behavioral, and sensory integration problems in NICU, birth-to-three, sensory integration clinic, pre-school, school, group home, and adolescent psychiatric hospital settings. He is the owner of Pagano FAB Strategies, LLC, which provides proven approaches that simultaneously address inappropriate behavior as part of therapy, teaching, and parenting. Dr. Pagano currently is the occupational therapist at an adolescent psychiatric hospital and school and is part-time faculty in Occupational Therapy at Quinnipiac University. He integrates sensory processing, mindfulness, positive behavioral support strategies, and massage strategies to help youngsters with complex behavioral, mental health, developmental, intellectual, and sensory processing challenges.
Dr. Pagano has a Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy, M.S. in Special Education and B.S. in Occupational Therapy. He has certifications in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, Movement-Based Learning, QST Massage for Autism, as well as being an instructor in Positive Behavioral Support.
Dr. Pagano presents workshops internationally to occupational, speech-language, physical, and mental health therapists as well as educators on improving self-regulation in youth with complex, behavioral, developmental, cognitive, and sensory processing challenges. He is the author of FAB Functionally Alert Behavior Strategies: Integrated Behavioral, Developmental, Sensory, Mindfulness & Massage Treatment (Pagano FAB Strategies, LLC).
