Women with ADHD are now the fastest growing group for a new diagnosis. These women (and their clinicians) are figuring out how the struggles of ADHD intersect with the demands on women in today’s society.
Clinicians who specialize in other conditions, such as eating disorders, are increasingly looking for ADHD as a comorbidity and how each condition impacts treatment for the other. Couples' therapists are realizing the impact of undiagnosed or under-treated ADHD as a driver of couples seeking therapy to overcome the persistent barriers to a better relationship.
ADHD is the thread that runs through all of these clients and situations. The most effective clinicians will be able to not only identify and treat ADHD, but also understand the interaction of ADHD with everything else in clients’ lives. This will facilitate more effective interventions that take into account all of whom the client is and what they want from therapy.
ADHD rarely travels alone. The next evolution in the field is to be able to integrate the treatment of ADHD for every client and every situation.

Ari Tuckman, PsyD, MBA, is a psychologist, international presenter, author, and ADHD expert. He is the author of four books on adult ADHD – one for clinicians and three for the general public. He has also written several book chapters and is a frequent author for ADHD-related publications, including ADDitude Magazine and Attention Magazine.
He is a popular and dynamic presenter who routinely earns excellent reviews for his ability to make complex concepts understandable and useful. He has given more than 650 presentations and podcast interviews for professionals and members of the public, across America and in Sweden, Turkey, Greece, Mexico, England, Spain, Denmark, Canada, and Iceland.

Evelyn Polk Green, MSEd, is a past president of both ADDA, the Attention Deficit Disorder Association and CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). Evelyn is an adult with ADHD and the mother of two adult sons, Perry and Robert, manifested itself intensely enough to disrupt her education. She later received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from National Louis University and a second master’s degree from Northern Illinois University. She has been active in child and adult mental health advocacy for almost 30 years, with an emphasis on bringing ADHD awareness to marginalized and underserved communities. Evelyn has served as a leader representing the family and educator voice in the ADHD and mental health communities in many capacities, including as a member of the Network on Children’s Mental Health Services funded by the MacArthur Foundation. She has been an educator in the Chicago Public Schools for over 35 years, working as a teacher assistant, classroom teacher, resource specialist, coach, trainer and administrator. Evelyn currently works as an administrator, planning professional development programs for early childhood special education professional and families. She is the recipient of several honors for her volunteer work in mental health and education, including the Beacon College Achieving Lifetime Vision and Excellence (ALiVE) Award for her advocacy work on behalf of children and adults with learning differences and ADHD.

Dena Cabrera, PsyD, CEDS, is a clinical psychologist and certified eating disorder specialist with a wealth of diverse clinical experience, including over 24 years of treating individuals, families, and groups with a range of psychological and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Cabrera is the owner and operator of Cabrera Psychological Services, a private practice specializing eating disorders, anxiety and ADHD as well as co-occurring issues.
As a former executive clinical leader, Dr. Cabrera has worked in all levels of care of treatment. She has worked at the helped run two of the most established and world-renowned eating disorder treatment centers. Dr. Cabrera is an advocate for policy change as it pertains to prevention, awareness, and treatment for eating disorders.

Dr. Cabrera is a nationally recognized eating disorder leader in the field as well as a sought-after presenter. She is the author of Mom in the Mirror: Body Image, Beauty and Life After Pregnancy, the first resource of its kind that speaks to moms through a personal and compassionate lens that assists in healing from body-image disturbances and eating disorders.
Dr. Cabrera is on the board and serves as past president of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals) and is the speaker’s chair for the local Phoenix IAEDP chapter. She is an advisory board member of Rock Recovery and a board member of the Eating Disorder Coalition.
Dr. Cabrera has appeared on nationally televised shows such as Anderson Cooper and The Early Show, as well as local Arizona networks. In 2023, she received the Excellence in Leadership award from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals.
Dr. Cabrera has her own lived experience with ADHD. Her mission is to empower clients to find an identity apart from weight, shape, size, and struggles.

Dr. Frank is a clinical psychologist currently practicing at Enrich Relationship Center of Colorado in the Denver-metro area. She specializes in diagnosing and treating ADHD, particularly in women. She is co-author, along with Sari Solden, MS, of the book A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD: Embrace Neurodiversity, Live Boldly, and Break Through Barriers. In addition to individual clinical work, Dr. Frank Provides Gottman Method Couples’ Therapy to couples impacted by ADHD. With a passion for advocacy, outreach, and education, Dr. Frank regularly contributes to national ADHD conferences and support programs. Dr. Frank is former vice president of ADDA – an international nonprofit organization supporting adults with ADHD. She is a member of APSARD – The American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders. She graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Marquette University.
