ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Michele Gonsman, RN, BSN, ALNC, CPSS has been a registered nurse for over 20 years.  She has extensive experience in multiple nursing specialties including ER/Trauma, General Medical/Surgical, Orthopedics, Neurology, Skin and Wound Care, Telemetry.  Michele has worked in the acute care area for 20 years, and has also worked as a clinical consultant for a medical company, where she lectured frequently on Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Management. She is also an advanced legal nurse consultant, which enables her to have unique insight into documentation, quality management, payment issues, and most specifically the Electronic Medical Record.  She lectures on documentation issues for healthcare facilities, and has written educational programs relating to forensic nursing.  Michele has been the keynote speaker at a large metropolitan medical center, a recent legal nursing conference, and will have her business featured on the cover of “Inspirations”, a legal nursing magazine.   Michele lectures frequently on the Affordable Care Act and how it is affecting not only nursing, but the entire health care field.
