Borderline Personality Disorder Diagnosis and Treatment

Continue with treatment ideas for additional cluster B personality disorders including narcissistic and borderline personality disorders. The course will conclude with additional case studies and advanced CBT strategies. 

 

OBJECTIVES

  1. Apply DBT skills training for borderline personality disorder.
  2. Utilize schema-based strategies for breaking lifelong destructive behavioral cycles.
  3. Describe eight motivations for parasuicidal behaviors and how to effectively intervene for each motivation.
  4. Discuss how family dynamics are affected by an individual with borderline personality disorder and discover how to improve family communication.
