  • Activities, games, lesson plans and real time group drama to teach self-regulation, engagement, reciprocity, likeability, problem-solving and appropriate behaviors
  • Develop and implement a dynamic social skills development program

Do you work with children/adolescents who lack social skills, experience peer rejection, and are at high risk for depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and aggression? These children desperately need the confidence to approach a new situation and accurately interpret expectations, resolve conflicts, self-regulate, and make and keep friends. This requires emotional regulation, concrete problem-solving skills, communication, self-awareness as to appropriate and inappropriate behaviors, awareness of likeability characteristics, curiosity about others, compromise and confidence.

Join social skills expert Vicki M. Leopold, LCSW, and learn her unique approach to teaching children/adolescents social skills. You will walk away with specific strategies, activities, and lesson plans for confidence building, increment skill acquisition, skill transfer, and social success. You will gain the tools necessary to successfully move a child/adolescent through individual therapy, into dyads and into group treatment. This dynamic approach will improve your outcomes with children of various diagnoses, such as ODD, ADHD, OCD, ASD, Communication Disorders, Learning Disorders, anxiety and depression and encourage you to think about social skills in a different way—as an integral part of the work we must do with children. Ms. Leopold’s approach flows. It makes sense. It’s fun!
