Description

When faced with a patient with limited to no movement in a limb, traditional therapy lacks interventions that can attain the repetitions required for motor recovery. In this training, you will go beyond conventional approaches and unlock the full treatment potential for your neuro patients.

Mirror therapy delivers faster progress, heightened patient involvement, and significant functional enhancements for diverse neurological issues like stroke, CRPS, amputation, and phantom limb pain.

This ingenious method involves the use of a mirror to create visual illusions, tricking the brain into perceiving the paralyzed or affected limb as moving. The reflected image makes patients feel as though the impaired limb is moving effortlessly, while simultaneously creating new neuronal connections and re-establishing pathways in the brain.

Filled with hands-on labs and experiential learning, this unique course provides a dynamic and immersive educational experience. Gain practical skills in setting up mirror therapy sessions, observing “patient” responses, and making informed adjustments to optimize treatment effectiveness.

  • Simulate scenarios replicating various neurological conditions and impairments
  • Perform exercises with real-time feedback from facilitators
  • Learn how to adapt mirror therapy based on client abilities and interests

And best of all…Mirror therapy is inexpensive and safe, making it easy to transfer to the home environment, a crucial step often overlooked by therapy professionals. Home programs are essential for recovery, especially when third party payers want patients discharged before recovery is complete.

Take the next step towards excellence in skilled therapy - confidently incorporate mirror therapy into your practice today and witness remarkable transformations in your patients’ lives.

Accelerate rehabilitation • Enhance neuroplasticity • Versatile across conditions
Cost effective • Increase ROM • Reduce pain • Restore motor function • Improve body image
