We're human, we hurt each other, we get hurt. Healing that hurt depends on the ability to deliver and accept a heartfelt apology. In this course, you’ll learn why some apologies are deeply meaningful, others feel meaningless, and some are downright sneaky and mean. This course will teach us how to offer a truly healing apology—and to decode apologies that are not really apologies at all. We will learn how to restore connection when even the good apology is not good enough.
This four-lesson online workshop, co-facilitated by Harriet Lerner and Brené Brown, teaches us to identify the nine essential ingredients in a heartfelt apology, and to recognize the mischief of defensiveness in ourselves and the non-apologizers in our life. Together, we will walk through lessons, role play and do exercises that challenge us to explore what it means to give a meaningful apology and how we strengthen ourselves and enhance our relationships, one heartfelt apology at a time
