Dr. Andrea Brennan, OTR /L, CLT-LANA, WCC, specializes in chronic edema, lymphedema, and wound care. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and member of the Lymphology Association of North America, the International Society of Lymphology and the National Lymphedema Network. Furthermore, Dr. Brennan is wound care certified by the National Alliance of Wound Care and the American Professional Wound Care Association. A therapist since 1978 and a lymphedema therapist since 1998, Dr. Brennan is frequently invited to speak and write on lymphedema management and clinical topics for community wellness programs, schools and support groups. These include presentations and publications on diverse topics in lymphedema management on a local and national basis. Presentations include Hands On Compression Therapy Workshop at the International Union of Phlebology; Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin and Wound Care; the National Lymphedema Network Conference and the American College of Phlebology. She authored a chapter on lymphedema in the medical textbook, Core Curriculum for Phlebology Nurses. Additionally, she guest lectures at Midwestern University College of Health Sciences. Presently, Dr. Brennan is developing a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient lymphedema clinic at HealthSouth Scottsdale Rehabilitation Hospital. Through her work at HealthSouth, Dr. Brennan is able to experience, first hand, the latest innovative strategies for treatment for lymphedema patients. She holds a Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
