Description

Gain practical tips to successfully work with manipulators!

Manipulators are among a more troublesome group of disturbed and disordered characters that helping professionals increasingly find themselves dealing with, whether or not those clients have been primarily diagnosed with a personality disorder. Like the proverbial wolves in sheep’s clothing, manipulators know how to get the better of others and look good while doing it. Dealing with them can be a lot like getting whiplash, you fully realize what’s transpired only after the damage is already done.

Most clinicians know that traditional insight-oriented approaches designed to treat “neurosis” aren’t very effective when it comes to intervening with the character-impaired. Watch one of the foremost authorities on manipulative personalities, Dr. George Simon, as he shares a unique perspective along with practical, effective strategies that promote positive change in clients of troubled character.

"Excellent seminar--one of the best I have ever been to. Thank you. "

Susan G

"Outstanding! Thank you."

Stephanie M

"Loved this training!!"

Debra W

"Clearly a brilliant clinician. The vignettes at the very last hour were useful. The first 4 or 5 hours would be more useful to a neophyte. We now tend to think in terms of neurobiology and less in terms of "neurosis" I would have loved to see more of his clinical work, as that was brilliant."

Alyssa M

"This CEU was by far one of the most informative learning experiences I've had with PESI! Dr. Simon appears well-experienced and was very organized in his delivery today. The topic of character disorders was a fantastic one to highlight, as it brings up the more difficult cases that traditional therapy is not appropriate for. SO thankful for Dr. Simon's work!!!"

Ana F

"Wonderful presentation! Looking forward for Dr Simon's more presentations!"

Vaughn M

"One of the best sessions attended at PESI. Thank you!"
