Jeff Strickler is currently the Director of Emergency Services at the University of North Carolina Hospitals, as well as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the School of Nursing. Jeff maintains responsibility for a variety of trauma and emergency patients, including the challenging populations detailed during this educational event. His extensive experiences cover the gamut from pre-hospital and emergency to transport and trauma nursing. He is certified as a flight nurse by the Emergency Nurses Association and is a licensed emergency medical technician/paramedic.

Jeff is active in the Emergency Nurses Association. He contributes to this specialty organization in many ways, currently serving as a faculty member for the Key Concepts in Emergency Department Management course. Jeff has served in several leadership positions and remains a committed member of the Society of Trauma Nurses. Additionally, Jeff has presented around the country on a variety of clinical and management topics. He is well respected for his ability to share practical insights during informative and entertaining talks.

Jeff recently revised a chapter in the Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum manual and has authored or co-authored a number of articles in journals such as the Journal of Trauma and the Journal of Emergency Nursing. Jeff looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with you to ultimately improve the outcomes for the trauma patients you see.
