Dr. Lisa Miller will present clinical science drawing on two decades of research at Columbia University in her new book, The Awakened Brain; The New Science of Spirituality and Our Quest for an inspired Life. Alongside moving case studies, Dr. Miller will share peer reviewed science published in top journals (AJP, JAMA, AACAP), conducted at multiple levels of analysis, MRI studies, long-term clinical courses studies, genotyping and familial high-risk studies. Implications of the science are highlighted for recovery treatment, prevention and the breaking of the intergenerational cycle of addiction and depression.
