Jeffery P. Drummond, JD, is a healthcare law partner in the Dallas office of Jackson Walker, LLP. His areas of expertise include representing hospitals and health systems, physicians and physician groups and other ancillary providers in transactional and regulatory matters. He advises clients regarding compliance with pharmaceutical, tax and health care laws and regulations, including medical record privacy and security, HIPAA, and cybersecurity issues. Coty Meibeyer, JD, is an advocate supervisor at Disability Rights Texas, the federally-mandated Protection & Advocacy organization for individuals with disabilities in Texas. At DRTx, Coty works with clients with mental illness and intellectual disabilities on community integration and investigating rights violations, abuse, and neglect. Ms. Meibeyer supervises advocates who monitor State Supported Living Centers, State Hospitals, private psych hospitals, and jails, and she also has her own active case load. Previously, Coty was a death penalty defense lawyer and mitigation specialist, and before coming to Texas, she was a public defender in rural Kentucky. She graduated from Pomona College and the University of Michigan Law School.
