Description

Trauma and PSTD clearly affect mind, body, and brain. There are powerful causal explanations and theories that offer insights into ‘how’ this is the case. And yet, for survivors, the effects of trauma are lived within the mind-body relationship every day. Trauma is always personal, as well as is healing. Matthew Sanford draws upon experiences with trauma and post-traumatic stress to offer subtle and expansive insights into how trauma is lived within the mind-body relationship, as well as practical insights based on clinical research on how the process of embodiment can aid in the healing process.
