Description

  • Simple yet powerful yoga techniques as clinical interventions for anxiety, depression and trauma
  • The neuroscience behind yoga and mindfulness
  • Improve client outcomes in battling mood disorders
  • Specific tools for healing anxiety, depression and trauma

The evidenced based healing practices of mindfulness and yoga bring neuroscience, physiology, self-care and cognitive therapy together in an integrated approach to treat anxiety, depression and trauma. Learn the relationship of mind, body and spirit and how to translate this knowledge into clinical skills. Science clearly shows that this approach heals anxiety, depression and trauma by teaching healthy ways to relate to thoughts, take care of emotions, live in the present moment and experience physical comfort. Sensible and wise, putting these practices to work empowers clients, enhances the professional relationship and heals client and clinician alike.

Join Mary NurrieStearns, private practice therapist, retreat leader, yoga and mindfulness expert and author to learn these healing practices. Review the science behind these practices, experience them for yourself and practice how to bring them into your professional work to improve client outcomes.
