The difficult behaviors of our young clients can be overwhelming. Defiance coupled with anger, self-injury and withdrawal, even tantrums so big that family members don't feel safe. Your therapy sessions get thrown off course leaving you feeling stuck and depleted.

It's time to shift the lens from "fixing" the child to a place of understanding the reason behind the behavior.

In this explorative retreat, we’re throwing away behavior plans, sticker charts, and even diagnoses. We’ll reframe how you've been taught to do therapy and transition to a bottom-up approach.

In my 25 years as a play therapist, I have gathered all the approaches that are closest to my heart and for 5 playful days, I will share the theories and techniques that I’m most passionate about and make the biggest impact with my clients and their families.

We’ll integrate therapeutic approaches with attachment-based and humanistic roots, to bring playfulness into your practice to treat children of all ages.

Gain confidence while filling your creativity toolbox to address trauma, anxiety, grief/loss, and more through:
  1. Nature Mandalas
  2. Personal Sandtrays
  3. Greatness Sticks
  4. Rock Painting
  5. Labyrinth Walk
  1. Fantasy Island
  2. Guided Imagery
  3. Family Work
  4. Sound Map
  5. And More!

Play is a full sensory experience and a retreat from the harsh realities of life. This attachment-based play therapy retreat will not only fill your toolbox, but it will also fill your mind, body, and spirit through the beauty of nature, connection, and play.

Refuel, rejuvenate, and renew the love for your profession!

Warmly,

Tammi
