An Experiential Approach to Improving Parent-Child Connection and Attunement for Trauma Recovery with Dafna Lender, LCSW
When attachment ruptures permeate a family, children are left feeling confused, hurt, and disconnected from their caregivers…feelings that are most disguised as oppositional behavior.
In turn, caregivers become frustrated and discouraged when their child-rearing approaches aren’t working to address what they think are behavior issues…which leaves them both feeling more disconnected than ever. And the cycle continues.
This is where you step in.
Join Dafna Lender, therapist, and internationally recognized attachment-based trauma expert, for this FREE 3-hour event that is overflowing with compelling insight and concrete strategies you can use right away to help families connect and repair.
This experiential training will allow you to observe, learn, and practice skills that:
- Uncover the core issues that underlie problematic behavior or relationships
- Get to the heart of a child’s deeper thoughts, feelings, and wishes (without words!)
- Teach caregivers crucial reparative skills to improve connection, regulation, and joy
- Reduce the intensity of a session’s content so the child and/or caregiver can “stay in it”
- Effectively yet gently address caregivers who are mis-attuned, critical, or defensive
- And more!
It's all based on her brand-new book Integrative Attachment Family Therapy: A Clinical Guide to Heal and Strengthen the Parent-Child Relationship through Play, Co-regulation, and Meaning-Making.
