Amy Shoko Brown, SEP, ISP, RCST ®, MS
Amy Shoko Brown's life work is practicing compassionate meditation in motion. She trained intensively at a Zen Monastery for several decades, where she learned to express love through everyday activities from cleaning toilets and digging ditches to corresponding with thousands of prisoners and offering instruction at retreats. Amy earned her MS in Art Therapy in 1998, became a QiGong instructor in 2008, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in 2012, Integral Somatic Psychology Practitioner in 2018, and Registered Craniosacral Therapist in 2020. While she's worked with diverse populations including developmentally delayed adults, adolescent boys, Hospice families, and prisoners, Amy is most grateful for the challenge and opportunity of caregiving her mother during her last years with Alzheimer’s, and to her current clients who inspire her every day. She specializes in helping people who have suffered from bullying, abuse, accidents, and the anxiety of climate crisis to access their strength, power, and unstoppable kindness.
