Ashley Broderick, RSW
Ashley Broderick, RSW, is a Clinical Social Worker specializing in adolescent mental health and addictions. She works within a community mental health setting on unceded Mi’kmaq territory in New Brunswick, Canada. Prior to her work with adolescents, Ashley’s clinical practice focused on maternal and fetal health care in both a clinical and outpatient setting.
Ashley has a keen interest in the embodied nature of trauma. As such, her clinical training has primarily focused on this area. She has received training in several related fields, including Traumatic Stress Studies, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and the Attachment, Self-Regulation, Competency Framework.
It has been Polyvagal Theory and the work of Deb Dana, however, that has truly inspired and captivated her. Whether it be in her clinical practice or on a personal level, Ashley strives to weave polyvagal theory throughout her daily life.
