Avigail Lev, PsyD


Avigail (Abby) Lev, Psy.D., is a psychotherapist, author, executive coach, workshop facilitator, and consultant to individuals and companies. She is the director of the Bay Area CBT Center, a clinic in San Francisco that provides evidence-based treatments for interpersonal problems, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, trichotillomania, OCD, chronic pain, and mood and personality disorders.

She is also the founder of Values-based Coaching, an executive coaching firm that applies ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) principles and techniques to help leaders and teams create satisfying and effective working relationships.

Abby specializes in integrating ACT and Schema Therapy to treat couples and individuals who struggle with interpersonal problems. She has presented her research at regional and international conferences. She has co-authored two books. The First, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Interpersonal Problems, is a manual for therapists. The second, The Interpersonal Problems Workbook, provides a complete protocol to help individuals overcome self-defeating patterns in both work and personal relationships. Her forthcoming book, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Couples, is a guide for clinicians that present a new and innovative ACT-based treatment protocol for couples.
