Rev. Dr. Beverly Dale
Rev. Dr. Beverly Dale, or “Rev Bev” as she is known is an ordained clergy in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) tradition. Her focus in both her academic and professional life has been to explore the intersection of spirituality and sexuality with a goal of helping people reconnect their spirits with their bodies and provide a healthier alternative to the repressive messages in the US “Purity Culture”. She is the founder of the Incarnation Institute for Sex & Faith and wrote the curriculum for sexual health professionals and clergy based on her first book, Advancing Sexual Health for the Christian Client, Data and Dogma (2019). Her latest book, Who Told You That You Were Naked? Meditations on the Sexual Body (2024) was written for people in the pews and those who have left them to find freedom from shame and guilt using thoughtful inner reflections, affirmations and writing exercises.
