Brian McCambley is a physician assistant in the emergency department of a Level II trauma center, treating patients with neurological conditions including spinal emergencies from trauma, as well as cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spinal disorders. Formerly a neurosurgical physician assistant in an inner city Level I trauma center, he was involved with acute trauma patient evaluation and stabilization, performing invasive and non-invasive procedures, including ventriculostomy placement, ICP bolt placement, emergent burr holes, spinal traction, lumbar punctures, shunt assessment and access, and transcranial Doppler analysis for evaluation of cerebral vasospasm.

Brian is certified as an instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and is currently one of a small number of instructors in the new ACLS Experienced Provider program. In addition to providing staff training in the areas of acute care neurology and cardiology, Brian is a clinical preceptor in the emergency department.
