Cindy K. Keith, RN, BS


is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) with more than two decades of experience in dementia-care settings, where she continues to bring valuable insight as a consultant to family caregivers, health care providers and assisted living facilities. She received her BS degree in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University and throughout her 25 year nursing career Ms. Keith has worked in multiple specialties, but has always returned to geriatrics because of her love for working with people with dementia.

Ms. Keith launched her dementia consulting practice, M.I.N.D. in Memory Care (“Moving in Nurturing Directions in Memory Care”), in 2004. She is a member of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and has been awarded the title of “Excellence in Care Specialist” for their Dementia Care Program of Distinction. Ms. Keith is a member of the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) as a Certified Dementia Practitioner as well as a trainer for the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Course. She is also a member of the Editorial Review Board of Activities Directors’ Quarterly for Alzheimer’s & Other Dementia Patients.

She is a highly acclaimed conference and seminar speaker, the author of two books, Love, Laughter, & Mayhem- Caregiver Survival Manual for Living with a Person with Dementia (2010) and Love, Laughter, & Mayhem in Eldercare Facilities: The Master Key for Dementia Training (2011). Ms. Keith also created Bringing Nurturing to Memory Care, a dementia training video for facility staff; and an eBook with tips for hairstylists working with people with Alzheimer’s & other Dementias.
