Clarissa Michalak, ACNPC-AG, MSN, CCRN

Clarissa Michalak, ACNPC-AG, MSN, CCRN, is an acute care nurse practitioner currently working on a Medical Step-Down Unit in New York City. Her nursing career began within the Johns Hopkins Medical System; while working on the Medical Intensive Care Unit, she developed an interest in pulmonology and associated imaging. Variations in technique and practice were absorbed as she worked as a critical care travel nurse in a variety of intensive care unit settings. While completing her nurse practitioner course of study at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, she also sought interdisciplinary experience in implementing ultrasound technology in critical care practice.

Additionally, Clarissa earned a master’s degree in nursing education at Towson University and has helped to teach physical assessment courses, simulation labs, and clinical rotations. She strives to make learning an interactive process and show you how to implement technology effectively.
