Critical Care Education


Dan Rauh is the director of critical care education at a suburban community hospital outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a 23-year veteran career firefighter/paramedic. He most recently served as the chief flight nurse of a large Midwestern rotor wing flight program where he was selected as flight nurse of the year in 2010.

Dan is nationally certified as a Critical Care RN as well as Flight Registered Nurse. He has worked in every critical care unit in the hospital and has taught pathophysiology to nursing students. In addition to his clinically-based education responsibilities, Dan travels across the United States providing critical care programs and certification review classes for both nurses and paramedics. He has revised and implemented difficult airway programs for a multi-state helicopter EMS provider and 9-1-1 EMS providers. Dan has the unique ability to present incredibly complicated topics in a very simple and entertaining format, utilizing humor and analogy to bolster comprehension.
