Dara Denton, MA, LCPC, LPCC
Dara Denton, MA, LCPC, LPCC, is a licensed counselor with experience providing individualized care to those facing a variety of life stressors and mental health issues. Over the years, she has worked with clients of diverse backgrounds, and in various settings from prisons to private practice. This has included work with those who are motivated to be in therapy, as well as individuals who were reluctant to trust the process. It taught her much about the human experience. While no one is immune to suffering, it is in the safety of human connection that we can heal and find happiness.
Dara is a senior trainer in Deb Dana’s Rhythm of Regulation training series. As a therapist, Dara is committed to empowering clients to improve their relationships, recover from trauma, and cope with the stress of life. She utilizes Polyvagal Theory, ACT, mindfulness, and other skills-based interventions to support learning, symptom management, and behavioral change. Dara believes in the necessity of evidence-based practices and therefore continually receive training nd education on best practices for treating trauma and mood disorders.
