Deborah Mandel, PhD, MSN, RNC-OB


Deborah Mandel, PhD, MSN, RNC-OB, has been in nursing since 1976. During those years she worked as a staff nurse, clinical nurse educator, nurse manager, nurse executive, and nurse researcher, and is currently a university professor. She received her Diploma in Nursing from Kings County Hospital School of Nursing, located in Brooklyn, New York in 1976. In 1997, she received her BSN from Kean University, located in Union, New Jersey. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perinatal Nurse Practitioner Program with a Master of Science in Nursing and in October 2008, she was awarded a Doctoral Degree in Nursing from Rutgers University-Newark. Currently, Dr. Mandel is an Associate Professor of Nursing at West Chester University in the Department of Nursing.
