Diana M. Crowell, PhD, RN, NEA-BC


Diana M. Crowell has extensive experience in nursing practice, education and administration. She has served as faculty at all levels of nursing education as well as teaching practicing health care leaders from all disciplines. Her hospital administration experience includes roles as director and CNO. Diana has presented nationally on leadership and education topics, for example, at the Professional Nurses Educators Group (PNEG), Dartmouth's Nursing Excellence Conference and Plexus Institute's Nursing conferences. She consults and leads workshops in her consulting practice Leading Your Life and is the author of Complexity Leadership: Nursing's Role in Health Care Delivery, (F. A. Davis, 2011) a graduate nursing leadership textbook.

Diana's education includes LPN, AD, BSN and master's degrees in counseling and nursing management, as well as a PhD in Leadership in Health Care systems. She has been published in Nursing Management and Nursing Administration Quarterly and contributed a chapter entitled "Leadership in Complex Nursing and Health Care Systems" to the book, Nursing, Caring and Complexity Science for Human-Environment Well-Being (Springer, 2011).
