Elizabeth Heavey, PhD, RN, CNM
Elizabeth Heavey is the Director for the Hybrid (combined online/in person) RN-BSN program at the State University of New York College at Brockport. She is a practicing certified nurse-midwife and epidemiologist and has worked in the healthcare field for seventeen years, eight of which included an academic/teaching appointment. Elizabeth has designed and developed hybrid and online courses for nurses and healthcare professionals and has been recognized for excellence in teaching in several venues. Her students consistently evaluate her online and hybrid courses as exceptional and, this year, she has been nominated for the Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence.
