Janet R. Yeats, MA, LMFT, is a co-founder of The Hoarding Project. Janet is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and chair of the MN Hoarding Task Force. She earned a Master of Arts degree from Bethel Seminary in marriage and family, and a second Master of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in family social science.
Janet teaches in the marriage and family therapy master’s graduate program at Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, MN. She practices therapy in her private practice in St. Paul, MN, where she specializes in issues of trauma, grief and loss, dementia, hoarding and military families. Janet has conducted numerous radio, TV and print interviews regarding the impact of hoarding disorder on individuals, families and communities.
