Jessica L. Shaller Gerweck, MM, MT-BC

Jessica Shaller Gerweck is a board certified music therapist who worked in nursing homes, hospital and hospice settings for over twelve years. She is currently the music therapist for Willamette Valley Hospice of Salem, Oregon, serving individuals of all ages in end-of-life and bereavement care. A published author in the field, Shaller Gerweck is a primary author of two chapters in the 2010 release of the American Music Therapy Association's adult medical monograph entitled, Effective Clinical Practice in Music Therapy: Medical Music Therapy for Adults in the Hospital Setting. Shaller Gerweck is passionate about advancing the profession of music therapy and serves on the board for the Oregon Association of Music Therapy and the Oregon Music Therapy Government Relations Task Force. She has lectured internationally as well as regionally, providing intensive workshops for Marylhurst University music therapy students and allied health professionals practicing in Oregon and Washington.
