Joseph Falkner, CCC-SLP


Joseph Falkner, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist, consultant and presenter, who specializes in working with individuals with neurodivergent nervous systems and/or who struggle with finding safety in their nervous systems. He consults with neurodivergent individuals, families, groups, and organizations, to facilitate understanding and intervening with nervous systems’ responses to lived experiences.

Joseph earned his Master of Science in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. His background in neuroscience, prosody, and social cognition, set a strong foundation for his practice. Joe has been studying the Polyvagal Theory since 2001 and has been applying this in his practice for the last approximate decade.

Joseph has had the opportunity to assist Deb Dana in some of her introductory Polyvagal courses. He has been a consultant for the Foundations of Polyvagal Informed Practice and presented on the Polyvagal Theory to individuals, families, and groups.
