Joyce Marter, LCPC, is a past-president of both the Illinois Counseling Association and Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association. She started her practice with $500 in her pocket and fifty thousand dollars of student loans. She is the founder of Urban Balance and the author of The Financial Mindset Fix: A Mental Fitness Program for an Abundant Life, available in July.
