Kate Glasenapp, DNP, ANP-BC, BC-ADM, CDE


Kate Glasenapp is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with diverse nursing experience in acute care, hospice care, nursing education, and primary care. Dr. Glasenapp, a Certified Diabetes Educator, is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management, with expertise in diabetes self-care and lifestyle coaching for individuals and groups.

Currently, Kate is a primary care provider in Internal Medicine with Froedtert Health Medical Group in West Bend, Wisconsin with a focus on care of individuals with chronic conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic lung disease, and obesity. She has served as clinical faculty with Marquette University College of Nursing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is a clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students.

Kate received the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Service award from UW Madison, School of Nursing. She is a certified pump trainer and speaks nationally on diabetes and associated co-morbidities of depression, metabolic syndrome, and dyslipidemia. She is certified in medical obesity management and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Glasenapp's research, "Energy Webs and Nursing Praxis: Patterning in the Lived Experience of Type 2 Diabetes" explores opportunities to transform "traditional diabetes management" to "diabetes care engagement". Kate uses current case studies in her presentations to enhance learning and foster discussion of challenges in diabetes care for a truly interactive experience.
