Mary Ann Hodorowicz, RD, LDN, MBA, CDE, CEC
Mary Ann Hodorowicz is a consultant for the food, health and pharmaceutical industries in nutrition, wellness, diabetes and insurance reimbursement. Her clients include healthcare entities, food and pharmaceutical companies, research firms, pharmacies, education/training firms, weight loss programs, government agencies, websites, membership associations, academia and the media. She helps clients establish their MNT and diabetes self-management education (DSME) programs and especially enjoys helping RDs build or enhance their private practices. As a certified endocrinology coder, Mary Ann self-publishes resources on MNT/DSME reimbursement, establishing MNT programs and electronic forms. She has authored modules for the American Association of Diabetes Educators' (AADE) new online Reimbursement Guide and is on the advisory board of their newest publication, AADE in Practice.
Mary Ann gives presentations and teleconferences for professionals and consumers and is on the faculty of the Johnson and Johnson Diabetes Institute in San Jose, California. She has continually served on committees of the American Dietetic Association (ADA). In her career, Mary Ann has provided outpatient MNT and DSME, helped design an Outpatient Diabetes Center (in which she obtained recognition for a DSME program) and worked as a Clinical Nutrition Manager, Assistant Director of a Food and Nutrition Services Department and ADA Dietetic Traineeship Director.
