Mia Tootill Tootill, LMSW, CMT-P


Mia Tootill, LMSW, CMT-P, is a licensed psychotherapist and certified mindfulness teacher based in New York who works with individual adults on a broad range of challenges, especially ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the unique stressors facing college/grad students and academics. Mia is a passionate polyvagalist and has found Polyvagal Theory to be transformative both in her personal life and clinical work, in addition to her training in AEDP and trauma-sensitive mindfulness. Mia is a senior consultant in Deb Dana’s Rhythm of Regulation training series and is also a certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) provider, drawing upon her background in music. Prior to switching careers to psychotherapy, Mia was a frequent presenter at international conferences and held a teaching fellowship at Cornell University, where she obtained her PhD in Musicology.
