Dr. Rick J. Morris, O.D., P.A., is a board-certified optometric physician with a fellowship in the College of Optometrist in Vision Development (COVD). He is an associate of the Optometric Extension Program (OEP), the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) and a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Palm Beach County Optometric Society.

Dr. Morris graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1986. After completing an externship in visual training, he worked at the Rand Eye Institute in Pompano, FL where he advanced his sills in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. At that point, Dr. Morris realized that his true love was to work with children and adults with functional visual problems, including amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed-eye), double vision and learning-related vision problems. Thus, the creation of The Center for Better Vision, dedicated to development and enhancement of the visual system.

The Center For Better Vision was founded in 1990 with the premise that more can be done for the visual system than fitting a pair of glasses. Since the 1930's, Optometry has studied the visual system for a functional as well as a structural approach. This means that it is as important to evaluate the way a person uses his/her eyes as it is to evaluate the health and structure of the visual components.
