Sandra Bernklau, RN, MSN, APRN-BC, CGRN, has 25 years of gastrointestinal and hepatology experience. Initial experience as an endoscopy nurse transitioning to a gastroenterology nurse practitioner. I am a certified family nurse practitioner and certified gastroenterology nurse. My experience ranges from large academic teaching institutions to small private hospitals. Currently I work in a large single specialty private practice and round at a large teaching hospital. In addition, I hold a faculty position at Rush University as adjunct advance practice nurse faculty. I speak nationally for GHAPP as a faculty advisor. I continue to mentor APN students and nurses in the gastroenterology and hepatology setting.
