Shanti Chapman, MA, CCC-SLP
Shanti Chapman MA, CCC-SLP, has worked as a speech language pathologist in the medical field for over a decade. She has worked at the acute, long-term acute, transitional care, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient levels of care, but specializes in working with patients who are acutely ill. Shanti is a well-respected member of the medical teams she works on, and is sought out by other medical professionals for her knowledge of working with the acutely ill population. She is currently on staff at Vibra Hospital of Northern California and Shasta Regional Medical Center. Shanti frequently teaches at nursing schools and within her facilities to educate other medical professionals on how to work with patients who are having difficulty swallowing. She has supervised students and clinical fellows throughout her career, and they have all felt her functional approach to medical speech therapy is very valuable.
