Sheria G. Robinson-Lane, RN, MSN, MHA, CHPN

Sheria G. Robinson-Lane is the owner and principal nurse consultant of SGR Consulting, an organization that provides gerontological health education and expert witness testimony in matters of elder care. Sheria has spent many years working with elders in long-term care and hospice settings, in roles ranging from Nursing Assistant to Director of Nursing. She serves as a task force member for the long-term care pain resource website www.geriatricpain.org and the American Medical Directors Association's (AMDA) task force on Young Adults in Long Term Care. Clinically, Sheria maintains practice with Hospice of Michigan - one of the nation's largest non-profit hospices. In addition to caring for hospice patients at Hospice of Michigan, Sheria helps to coordinate the research activities of the hospice and aids in both the development and facilitation of staff education. Sheria holds a PhD and dual degree in Nursing and Gerontology from Wayne State University. She is passionate about pain management and elder care and gives much of her time advocating for, educating about, and singing the praises of elders.
