Sherry Lenore Payne, MSN, RN, CNE, IBCLC


Sherry Lenore Payne, MSN, RN, CNE, IBCLC, is an OB nurse educator currently teaching in an undergraduate nursing program where she has designed and implemented didactic and clinical curricula. Ms. Payne is known for her active leaning models of instruction and is a favorite of nursing students in her program. She is a member of the National League of Nursing, the premier organization for leaders in nursing education. 

Ms. Payne specialized in maternal infant health and lactation science. She has been active in promoting wellness models of healthcare delivery to at-risk populations. She discovered her love of teaching while doing childbirth education and lactation support. Having worked in both hospital and community-based settings, she enjoys helping students and clients find empowerment through knowledge and understanding. 

Ms. Payne earned her BSN from Research College of Nursing/Rockhurst University, and her MSN from Research College of Nursing, Kansas City, Missouri. She is currently a midwifery student and looks forward to sharing her love of teaching and active learning strategies with you.
