Terri A. Donaldson, DNP, RN, ACNP-BC
Terri A. Donaldson, DNP, RN, ACNP-BC, has over 23 years of experience in cardiac and critical care nursing. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, where she teaches in the acute care nurse practitioner and doctoral nursing programs. Terri is also the coordinator of the transplantation subspecialty in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. She frequently lectures on cardiovascular disorders, including coronary artery disease, medical and surgical interventions for cardiovascular disease, heart failure, and heart transplantation.
Terri has extensive experience caring for patients requiring critical care interventions, including mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheters and hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medications, mechanical assist devices, and continuous renal replacement therapy. As a cardiovascular clinical nurse specialist, Terri has facilitated skill development of critical care nurses at the bedside and assisted in the care of patients with complex cardiovascular disease. Terri completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2007.
