Tisa McGhee, MA, MSW, PhD

Tisa McGhee, MA, MSW, Ph.D., has over 20 years of experience working in urban communities like Los Angeles and Miami as a social worker and a consultant. Her research is community based with a focus on both macro and clinical social work practice. She teaches Social Work Practice, Research, Policy, Human Behavior, Seminar and Domestic Violence courses. 

Her professional interests have included her work in child welfare, working with families in crisis and domestic/family violence.  Dr. McGhee degrees include a both a BA and MA in Psychology, MSW and PhD with a concentration in macro organizational capacity in Social Work. 

Through this portfolio of work she has educated countless social work students and trained nonprofit agencies on how to do social work with communities. At the core of all of her work: Building community using engaging and empowerment techniques specializing in Collective Impact work.
