Tracy Zaparanick, Ph.D., LCSW, is a nationally-known author, speaker, clinician, and researcher in compassion fatigue. Credentialed by the International Traumatology Institute as a Certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist in 2001, she and fellow co-investigator Dr. Eric Gentry have published about the etiology and treatment of this debilitating disorder. Together they formed the Accelerated Recovery Program model for animal caregivers that helps mitigate the irritability, sleeplessness, emotional withdrawal, anxiety, isolation, and feelings of helplessness associated with compassion fatigue. Tracy also serves as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has over 18 years of clinical experience in saving lives, jobs, and relationships in a diversity of environments and age groups.
